Marketing & Copywriting

As the Marketing Assistant for New Mexico United (NMU), Dorian wrote blog articles, listicles, and copy for emails, webpages, merchandise descriptions, social media posts, Wikipedia articles, and advertisement campaigns on Facebook and Google. His writing was featured in the Fan First Video Contest on the NMU website when the club chartered a flight during their unprecedented run at the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup which became the highest performing webpage in United Soccer League (USL) History.

As part of the Marketing Team that led the USL across marketing measurements through the entirety of the 2019 season, Dorian arranged partnership meetings, monitored and pulled analytical data for social, web, and ads, and managed the calendar of the NMU Marketing & Communications Director. He wrote and coded the Wikipedia article for team CEO/Owner, Peter Trevisani and updated the Wikipedia page for Coach Troy Lesesne. On home match days, he monitored gameplay and pulled match replays from ClipPro, posting them in real-time to social media.

Dorian traveled with the team and the supporters' group as an additional team photographer. His lens captured the emotional moment CEO/Owner Peter Trevisani and his family witnessed the penalty kick against the Colorado Rapids which launched NMU into the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup. This photo (pictured here) was featured on the club's Instagram feed that night to mass community engagement.

Dorian built and maintained online relationships with supporters and other big brands as a community manager for the social media handles of NMU, including their friendship that blossomed with the Mens' League Soccer  (MLS) franchise, Minnesota United.  He wrote and chose imagery from team photographers for the tweet to the MLS club after they lost in the final round of the Open Cup which is the 6th highest engaged with Tweet on the club's Twitter to date.
