Prompt: post four examples of items from your idea file as discussed in your blog The Idea File.

This layout, as featured in Opera News, is a perfect example of contrast. It also has some color theory sprinkled in with the blue and red depicting different settings that make you feel different emotions.


This 'timely' seasonal marketing piece posted on Instagram by UbyKotex (a brand I absolutely love for their association with the Carmilla web-series) on Daylight Savings Time is a perfect example of repetition. I love the use of color (an homage to the Instagram logo I believe) in contrast to the stark black background all while staying within their branding palate.


I love the personification in this ad by DesignInc, the company that promotes the Royal Opera House. The contrast of the white costume and the red costume, versus the pen and the pencil is genius. The blue background further accents the



This meme really exemplifies the concept of flow and keeping the viewer's eyes on the page. There is also stark contrast of the man in blue and black walking against a white background on which is displayed an alternate reality. Word placement could be better, though.
